Scrum Master/Agile BA (7620)

Position Title : Scrum Master / Agile BA

Position Status : 12-month contract with rolling extensions

Schedule : REMOTE

Overview : Our client is looking for a Scrum Master / Agile BA for a REMOTE position based out of Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities :

• Scrum Master / Business Analyst required with technical background to support software development of for Discharge Assistance Planning software at DBHDS.
• This individual is required to play a dual role, primarily grooming backlog, story writing and help PM & development team with Scrum ceremonies.
• This role is required to play a dual role.
• Help Project Manager as needed with the following duties :
• Leveraging agile framework help Project Manager drivetime-boxed iterations called sprints.
• Support Project Manager as needed to drive sprint planning, daily-stands, sprint reviews, retrospective, scrum board administration.
• Help remove impediments.
• As an Agile Business Analyst (Agile BA ) who understands and experienced with the Agile methodology to help using business Agile principles, work with stakeholders to help them understand the benefits of Agile and how it can help their business.

They also help the development team understand the business requirements and how they can be met using Agile methods.

• Analyze the Business Domain initiatives to identify epics and features requirements.
• Help Product Owner develop and manage Product strategy.
• Stock and Groom the Product Catalog.
• Help break user stories into Minimum Viable Product(MVP).
• Help development team understand bigger picture.
• Convert business requirements into business process flows and functional requirements.
• Serve as Proxy Product Owner as needed.

Requirements :

• Certified Scrum Master Certification.
• 5 Years – Flexibility and Adaptability : As Agile teams are cross-functional and self-organizing; an Agile BA must learn to continuously self-reflect and think how best they can contribute to the team.

They should be able to easily adapt to new and changing requirements by doing detailed analysis beforehand.

5 Years – Knowledge of Different Tools and Techniques : Agile tools and techniques make the team more effective. They help to ease backlog management, provide-time collaboration, make estimates and reports for sprints and releases.

A good grasp of the different tools and techniques available for Agile is a crucial skill in order to become an Agile BA.

• 4 Years – Facilitation skills : The ability to effectively facilitate meetings and scrum ceremonies is vital. Scrum masters ensure these events run smoothly and focus on the intended outcomes.
• 4 Years – User story writing experience.
• 4 Years – Experience with Business Process flows.
• 4 Years – Experience with Test Case Development and UAT.
• 4 Years – Strong communication skills.
