Responsibilities :
- Review Medicaid applications and documents meticulously to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide guidance to clients regarding Medicaid eligibility criteria and assist with the application and qualification process
- Conduct thorough research on Medicaid regulations
- Effectively communicate with clients, government agencies, facilities, and financial institutions to address Medicaid-related matters
- Maintain well-organized case files and documentation pertaining to Medicaid cases
- Perform detailed audits on financial accounts and other assets, and create relevant spreadsheets
- Assist in drafting deeds, promissory notes, and other necessary documents under attorney supervision
Qualifications :
- The ideal candidate should have over 1 year of experience working as a paralegal specializing in Medicaid law
- Proficiency in understanding and applying Medicaid regulations and documentation requirements is a must
- Strong research skills and the ability to analyze information effectively are essential for this role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to interact with clients, government agencies, and other involved parties
- Being detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities is crucial for managing Medicaid cases efficiently
- Candidates should possess computer proficiency to handle digital documentation and research effectively
- Paralegal degree preferred, but not required
