Strategic People Planning (SPP), also known as Strategic Workforce Planning, is the connector to build and act on what is required to make our workforce fit for the future, taking into consideration future skills, the ideal size and shape of teams, as well as costs and where teams should be located geographically.
In short, SPP helps us to put the right people, in the right place, at the right time to succeed and become future ready.
In this role you will integrate into business transformation efforts while at the same time establish a company-wide practice.
Curious what your key responsibilities look like?
- Shape the design, build-up, and scaling of a companywide SPP practice. This includes generating ideas that will help us shape the future practice, optimizing the approach for implementation, required solutions and a governance framework.
- Drive the implementation of specific products, ., a company-wide demand planning process, location analysis process. This includes collaborating with other teams within the business, HR (.
Reward, Talent, Learning & Development) or within Group support functions (., Data, Technology, Finance).
Act as advisor and subject matter expert for dedicated business transformations, in close collaboration with business leaders and global HR partners.

About the Team
The SPP team is a newly established team within the Human Resources (HR) function. It is an interdisciplinary team closely connected to other teams in HR and outside HR.
The mandate for the team is to establish a strategic people planning practice for the entire company supported by the Group Executive Committee (GEC) and at the same time forms a HR Must Win (strategic initiative with high importance).
Initially SPP was set-up as a project and we're now establishing a group-wide practice including SPP consulting / advisory services and the respective solutions and products.
The team supports strategic transformation initiatives across Swiss Re that have been defined as a priority. SPP consultants directly work with business leaders and global HR Partners for the transformation initiatives we support.
Data modelers work on specific solutions / tools for the core initiatives together with the SPP consultants.
About You
We are looking for a high-energy teammate with a strong sense of ownership and dedication who is comfortable working across a highly matrixes environment and with senior leaders.
With your 'can-do' mentality you feel energized by complex topics and shaping something new. You demonstrate pragmatism and speed, but at the same time you also think strategically.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Strategic Workforce Planning or in a consultancy role
- Experience in project management, change leadership, and working in agile setups
- Ability to create compelling storylines / decks for senior leaders, incl. synthesizing data to define key people insights and metrics
- Exceptional communicator in English (verbal and written) and able to convince stakeholder on senior level

For Armonk, NY and New York City, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $144,000 to $228,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity / specialization / scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
