The Special Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing Billing Specialist Teams for large complex customers. The role of these teams is to manage customized invoice submission for Commercial customers, including submission in third party portals, customized spreadsheets, email, and some postal mailed invoices.
Leads revenue / billing teams to ensure that we communicate billing events to the customer according to their preferences and works cross functionally across the organization with accounting, finance and service teams to ensure accurate revenue capture.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and leads the business strategy and processes for billing and reviews customer contracts for billing and payment term requirements
Develops and leads customer communication strategy and policy for billing
Establishes and maintains policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the order to invoicing cycle
Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and assess revenue leakage; ensures research, analysis and reporting to facilitate revenue capture
Facilitates business process reviews to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle operations; tests, implements and evaluates enhancements
Analyzes invoicing and statement costs and develops cost reduction initiatives
Partners with sales tax department and business in the management of sales tax process, including process improvement
Partners with customer relationship teams to ensure the billing customer communications meet / exceed customer expectations Lead teams that bill special accounts with unique billing processes for large commercial accounts
Lead Implementations / Migrations for new and existing customers
Collaborate with Admin, Customer Experience, Finance teams to mitigate any issues related to billing for special accounts
Provide Training and Support to Supervisors
Facilitate Career Development Opportunities for Direct Reports
CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience
5 to 7 years experience in the billing and customer administration functions
Supervisory and project management experience
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and draw valid conclusions
Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
Experience implementing standardized billing processes
Knowledge of billing portals and systems preferred
Strong accounting skills
Previous managerial / leadership experience; medium to large team experience preferred
Strong Computer Skills (Google Suite Preferred or Microsoft applications)
Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation
Prior experience with pest control industry a plus
