SUMMARY :

Join Merit Services’ client in Toronto as an Investment Banker and bring your passion for financial analysis and your deep understanding of the financial market to the team.

As an Investment Banker, you will play a critical role in providing expert guidance to clients on financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and other corporate finance activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise, and contribute to the financial success of the organization and its clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Identify and evaluate potential merger and acquisition targets and financing opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Develop financial models and conduct complex financial analysis to support investment decisions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data analysis.
  • Prepare pitch books, charts, and other marketing materials for client presentations, effectively communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, including senior executives and investors, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.
  • Facilitate and lead due diligence processes and negotiate transaction terms, ensuring successful deal execution.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration to achieve business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred, demonstrating a strong academic background in financial analysis.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in investment banking or a related field, displaying a comprehensive understanding of the industry and a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed investment decisions.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing complex financial transactions, showcasing a high level of expertise and experience in the field.
