FVL Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Engineer :
Bell, Textron Inc. utilizes Dassault Systemes’ ENOVIA & CATIA V6 for Product Lifecycle Management, Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing.
Bell is standing up a team to support replacing the current systems with the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. Join Bell’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Digital Systems organization in contributing technical and end user support of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform of solutions from Dassault Systemes.
The primary function is to provide technical support to FVL IPTs (Airframe Design, Drive Systems Design, Rotors Design, Aircraft Integration, Systems Engineering, and Vehicle Systems) with Automation aspects of the suite of tools and product definition of our aircraft.
Position Responsibilities :
- Provide 3DEXPERIENCE technical support across the PLM lifecycle.
- Provide innovation concepts and best practices for Bell's 3DEXPERIENCE and related CATIA, and ENOVIA tool set.
- Maintain control and visibility throughout the lifecycle.
- Generate and maintain configuration management records for ENOVIA 3DEXPERIENCE Systems installations.
- Provide end user mentoring, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Provide supplier support and model conversion to other CADCAM platforms.
- Cross-functional collaboration with multiple support functions (engineering all disciplines, manufacturing, procurement, IT, technical publications, customer support, integrated operations, quality, supply chain), customers, suppliers and partners from different locations.
- Manage feedback from customer, products, and logistics.
- Capture, securely managing, and maintaining the integrity of definition information.
- Provide FVL definition available where it’s needed, when it’s needed.
- Interface with Dassault representatives to address configuration and customizations challenges.
- Coordinate with various FVL IPTs for functional use and test cases.
- Provide input on continuous improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Mathematics, ) or relevant experience.
Position Requirements :
- At least 5 years’ experience in CAD design and PLM application is preferred.
- Strong computer skills to easily navigate PLM database.
- Technical Acumen : Must have engineering background with sufficient technical acumen to work effectively with technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.
- Must be able to coordinate and work with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to manage suppliers, partners, and Government customer expectations.
Working Knowledge and / or Familiarity in any of the following applications a plus :
- 3DEXPERIENCE Platform experience desired.
- CATIA Versions 5 & 6 in the following workbenches :
- Sheet metal
- Composite
- Fasteners
- Tubing
- Electrical
- Kinematics
- KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering) or CAD automation.
- ENOVIA V6 (Versions 2013X, 2011X or Matrix One).
- SIEMENS Unigraphics NX5 and TeamCenter 2007 or higher.
