The Detroit office of a top firm is seeking a commercial litigation associate with at least two years of relevant experience.
As an associate in this firm’s commercial litigation group, you will work on a wide range of business disputes that involve significant stakes and complex legal issues.
Additionally, you will develop your litigation career at a leading firm while earning a highly competitive compensation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and represent clients in various stages of commercial litigation, from pre-trial preparation to trial and post-trial matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and provide strategic legal advice.
- Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Attend court hearings and trials, representing the firm's clients effectively.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Membership in, or the ability to quickly waive into, the Michigan State Bar.
- At least two years of commercial litigation experience
