The Center currently has over 100+ staff working at 11 facilities across San Diego County.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Programs, the Training and Community Education Manager will design and oversee the execution of high-quality virtual, in-person, and blended learning experiences grounded in inclusivity, liberation, and lived experiences.
The TCEM will provide leadership, expertise, and coaching to staff trainers and will supervise the paid staff trainer. The manager will execute a comprehensive strategy to ensure clients, volunteers, Center staff, and community organizations have consistent, high-impact training experiences.
This work will include developing a training curriculum, materials, and resources to support the Training Institute, designing evaluation metrics and analyzing data, and developing relationships and partnerships to make the Training Institute self-sustaining and revenue-generating.
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and curate interactive training curriculum and materials for a variety of topics that are LGBTQ+ related.
- Collaborate across all departments to co-create training and programming.
- Make revisions and adjustments to training when needed in response to staff and client needs.
- Work in partnership across all departments to coach staff trainers.
- Serve as "in-house" consultant to staff to provide coaching, consultation, and content review.
- Manage training contracts, scheduling, and the collection of revenue.
- Explore new revenue streams for training.
- Create strategies for developing partnerships and recruiting training participants who are clients, volunteers, Center staff, and community organizations.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Quality Assurance, develop feedback mechanisms and metrics to aggregate data.
- Track and analyze training feedback data to inform content development.
- Identify opportunities for improving or adding to existing content.
- Directly supervise the work of two trainers.
- Special Projects may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications :
- Education / Experience : 3-5 Years of managerial, public speaking, and current development.
- Professional Skills : Knowledgeable about current issues / trends related to the LGBTQ+ community and others who are historically marginalized.
Great writing skills. Strong soft skills such as critical thinking, verbal communication, active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and interpersonal.
Strong organization and record management.
- Technical Skills : MS Office Suite.
- Language Skills : English.
Preferred Qualifications :
Personal Skills : Competence and familiarity in working with a variety of populations, including the LGBTQ+ community.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
- Compensation : The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.50 / per hour and is commensurate with experience. This is a Full-Time Regular Non-Exempt position.
- Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, regular hours 9 : 00am - 6 : 00pm, with occasional evening hours.
