Clayton Services is searching for a Senior Accountant to join a thriving company in North Houston.
Job Type : Direct Hire
Pay Rate : $65,000-$75,000 / year

Senior Accountant Responsibilities :
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and posting cash receipts
- Communicate with inside sales regarding customer requests
- Work with credit card payment collection system
- Assist in all financial audit requirements from banks and outside CPA firm
- Create monthly required journal entries and adjust entries when necessary
- Assist the accounting department with ad hoc projects.
- Produce weekly bank reconciliations
- Correspond with internal and external parties to resolve matters effectively.
- Generate monthly sales tax reports and make payments via the State website
- Process all vendor invoices in a timely manner, weekly check runs and wires, and positive pay management.
- Complete Monthly reporting requirements for AR / AP & inventory.
- Set up new business partners.
- Assist in monthly close.
- Other duties as assigned

- Computer proficiency
- Microsoft Office proficiency - advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- ERP system proficiency
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Senior Accountant Education and Experience :
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting and / or finance
- A minimum of 5-7 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience working with QuickBooks is a plus
