Plexos Group is supporting the State of New Mexico with cross-cutting recovery operations that facilitate FEMA-PA project formulation and obligation, project reconciliation and reimbursement, hazard mitigation (e.

g., Hazard Mitigation Grant Program), interagency coordination via Lines of Effort for recovery, and disaster case management for impacted residents.

The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the coordination of and reporting for these activities, including through direct support to team members across all aspects of program activities.

Responsibilities :

Support the Program Manager with daily program management activities, including but not limited to the development of regular reports to the client, tracking of team activities and progress, and review and finalization of written deliverables.

Develop and review packages with invoices, timesheets, and other relevant documentation to support reimbursement of contract activities under relevant agencies.

Develop regular weekly reports to the client to reflect activities and maintain the quality and accuracy of dashboards provided to executive leadership for visibility to recovery operations.

Draft, review, and finalize written deliverables to support policy decisions, with a focus on FEMA Public Assistance, the Hermit’s Peak / Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act, 404 and 406 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, and the Disaster Case Management Program.

Apply recovery methodologies per the National Disaster Recovery Framework to support and, as necessary, manage interagency recovery operations through the Lines of Effort for recovery.

Coordinate daily activities related to training, communications, scheduling, deliverables, staffing designation and evaluation, risk assessment and management.

In coordination with the Program Manager, provide support to team members so that they have clear direction and resources to accomplish contract activities.

Support meetings, emails, and other communications with elected officials and other staff at the local level, to accomplish identified local recovery goals and facilitate progress to complete projects.

Provide policy guidance and support through review of written deliverables, projects, etc. so that all forms of delivery maintain compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

As directed by the Program Manager, act as a main point of contact with the client or its representative.

Oversee logistics management, ensuring that procedures are in place to align with the program’s goals and objectives.

Oversee standards of performance, safety policies, and procedures, compliance and adjust internal policies as necessary.

Direct Human Resources and management activities on the operational side of the programs and may determine the staff needed to accomplish the operational tasks.

Basic Qualifications :

Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher education in Project Management or similar degree. Must have at least three (3) years of experience as Program Manager, including at least two (2) years of experience with federally funded program or project management.
