Job / Position Summary
The Industrial Engineering Intern supports the ABQ site by studying process time and documenting the results. The responsibilities of this position include time set-up, run rate, machine time update documentation as needed and submit to document control.
These activities will require good organization skills and attention to detail. Primary activities will be to support piezoelectric products, including both lead based and non-lead based materials.
Primary Responsibilities
- Determine current set time, run rate
- Review and update site floor plan;
- Identify opportunity for improvements in both rate and product flow.
- Submit documentation in CPRO to update SAP
- Summarizing and sharing data with engineering team
- Enrollment in an accredited engineering program required
- Completion of four semesters of engineering curriculum required
- Industrial Engineering major is desired
- Must be US citizen and able to work on US military projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Energetic, motivated individual with ability to independently complete tasks assigned by engineering
- Attention to safety and safe handling of lead containing materials
- Ability to learn and operate presses.
- Basic skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Autocad or Solidworks
- Communicate observations and results to the engineering team
Physical / Working Requirements
- Ability to move, handle and lift up to 25 lbs
- Extended periods of standing combined with sitting and walking
- Must be able to go up and down steps
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Exposure to moderate noise levels and use of chemicals
