We are always seeking passionate and technically savvy Administrative Assistants to support Researchers in various disciplines.

RAND is currently seeking Mid-Senior level Administrative Assistants to provide high-level support to national security work requiring a Department of Defense (DoD) clearance.

This role requires a self-starter and strong team player who is forward thinking, able to swiftly change pace, adapts to changing priorities and can juggle complex assignments while working under minimal supervision.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Mac and / or PC platforms, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Security Clearance

This position requires a DoD security clearance. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.

S. Citizenship. Candidates with an active clearance are preferred.

Experience

Administrative Assistant IV : 4 years minimum experience; 6 years preferred

Administrative Assistant V : 5 years minimum experience; 6 years preferred

Education

Minimum : High School; Preferred : BS / BA

Location

Washington, DC (some roles offer hybrid and flexible schedules). Fully remote is not available for this role.

Salary Ran ge : $55,900 - $93,500

Administrative Assistant IV $55,900 - $83,200

Administrative Assistant V $62,700 - $93,500

RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities;

a candidate’s work experience, education / training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. This position is overtime eligible.

Successful candidates will be offered employment in a specific title, as determined by the candidate's education and experience.
