Responsible for providing public service within the Circulation Department. Responsible for assisting patrons and employees with library technologies.
Responsible for opening and / or closing procedures and daily operations of the library.
Facilitates the Semester Loan Technology Program by serving as program lead, tracking inventory and usage of devices, creating user guides and tutorials, maintaining the physical organization and functioning of devices.
Collaborates with other departments as needed.
Maintains technology manuals and creates tutorials.
Troubleshoots, maintains, provides support for, and anticipates technology needs that support the daily functioning of the library.
Registers and updates user accounts.
Responsible for circulating all library materials and collecting fines and fees.
Receives, processes and helps maintain Reserves materials.
Keeps informed of initiatives concerning - technology accessibility.
Assists with updating the library website and creating content for social media.
Maintains library statistics, curates data, and compiles reports to support library needs.
Provides information to patrons in person, online, and by telephone, and makes necessary referrals; assists patrons as needed.
Assists Circulation Supervisor in hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and assigning projects to library student employees.
Helps maintain library space and collection.
Troubleshoots library technologies and provides general maintenance of copiers, printers, DVD players, and scanners.
Provides technology assistance with Microsoft Suite, Blackboard, Google Workspace, and general computer questions.
Anticipates future technology needs of students.
Supports library programming, marketing and outreach initiatives.
Participates in campus initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education : LTA Certificate or Associate degree required.
Experience : Two years providing library service and direct experience with an integrated library system. Must be proficient with document creation using advanced features of Adobe Acrobat and also proficient with current Microsoft 365products including Teams and Excel.
