We are looking for a bilingual (English / Spanish) hands-on HR Generalist to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the full cycle of the recruitment process and collaborates with departmental managers in identifying and selecting candidates.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and all leaves (i.
- e. FMLA); disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale;
occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Administers annual compliance and audits, to include EEO-01, OSHA reporting, Maricopa Country TRP.
- Oversees Health Benefits open enrollment, new hire enrollment and changes.
- Conducts compensations market analysis and salary recommendations.
- Administers the employee safety program and collaborates with leadership in establishing light duty and return to work program.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Leads in internal investigations and responding to government agencies.
- Leads and conducts random internal audits to maintain compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration and knowledge of labor laws and best practices such as EEO, affirmative action, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, I-9, legal codes, court procedures, government regulations, etc.
- Must have advanced written and verbal skills in both English and Spanish
- Demonstrated skills in applying relevant information and individual judgement in areas of regulations, business recommendations, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Usage of ADP is helpful.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field.
- SHRM SCP, CP or PHR certificate a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of generalist experience in a human resources environment.
