Salary range for this position is : 19.97 / hr.
Instruction & Classroom Support Assistant positions are temporary, hourly positions at Seattle Central
College. Under the supervision of an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician, Assistants support
classroom lab activities in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Physics
and Engineering, or Plant Sciences.
Shift hours and hours worked per week depend on the needs of the area supported, up to a maximum
of 16 hours per week. Positions are considered quarterly.

What you will be working on :
- Learn and follow lab specific procedures and policies.
- Maintain regular contact with supervisor.
- Keep classrooms, labs, and prep areas clean and organized.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and wash as necessary.
- Assist assembly and disassembly of classroom and laboratory activities.
- Learn to maintain and repair equipment.
- Update inventory quarterly.
- Additional functions as assigned by specific areas.
What you bring as a candidate : (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
- Are currently enrolled in Seattle Colleges (North, Central, or South).
- Have taken or are currently taking STEM classes in areas of interest (i.e., Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Physics and Engineering, Plant Sciences).
- Subject area knowledge.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to perform a range of physical motions; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing,
walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; traversing up and down stairs.
