Our practice consists of 3 full time and 3 per diem pathologists, and covers a wide area throughout Northern Nevada and Northeastern California.

The laboratory receives a wide variety of hematopathology and solid tumor cases, as well as biopsies, including head & neck, GYN, breast, lung, GI, GU, derm specimens, etc.

With a population of over 235,000, Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada and boasts a rich history. We are nestled on the eastern slope of the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains in an area called the Truckee Meadows, at an elevation of 4505 feet.

Location : Western Pathology Consultants, Reno, NV

Days : Monday - Friday

Hours : 11 am - 7 : 30 pm

In this role, you will :

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through preparation, gross description, and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is :

• Bachelor of Science or Masters Pathologists' Assistant program from a NCCLS accredited institution
• 1 year of laboratory experience grossing all tissue types from simple to complex is preferred
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to : telephones, computers, microscopes, and audible alarms.
