We are looking for a diligent Bookkeeper to be a part of our team in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be tasked with supporting our day-to-day accounting operations, reporting directly to the interim controller, and VP of Finance.
This opportunity offers a short-term contract employment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the general ledger
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Provide Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support to ensure efficient, secure, and accurate accounting data operations
- Perform invoicing tasks, including coding and processing invoices for payment
- Assist with the tracking and management of fixed assets
- Perform ad-hoc projects to support the department when necessary
- Utilize tools such as CMI, Cougar Mountain, and Microsoft Excel to perform job duties effectively and efficiently.
- Minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Demonstrable experience with auditing and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting procedures
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in coding invoices
- Familiarity with invoice processing
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
