The Regional Director of Service Coordination has the primary responsibility of supervising Service Coordination in assigned areas.
Reporting to the Director of IDD Authority Services, duties include managing and supervising Service Coordinators and Office Coordinators at each assigned program site, hiring new staff and ensuring that staff are appropriately trained to perform their essential job functions.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all individuals served receive outcome-based services and support. Must work collaboratively with LIDDA Management Team members.
Must have knowledge of IDD eligibility criteria, service delivery options, state and federal requirements for service delivery and LIDDA operations as well as person-centered practices.

- Effectively manage conflict, promote change and growth, and inspire the development of all stakeholders (individuals in services, community, and staff)
- Provide flexibility in supervisory strategies based upon the needs and preferences of staff, to include modeling in the field, shadowing, and other in-person supervision.
- Develop and implement strategies that will maximize synergies among program areas.
- Develop strategies for integration into currently existing systems.
- Interfaces with referral sources providing information and status reports as required by referring agency / programs.
- Represent HCMHDDC Service Coordination in learning opportunities as needed.
- React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Team Management and Development :
- Provide professional leadership in organizing, administering, supervising, and evaluating the effective delivery of Service Coordination
- Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff.
- Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation, and goal setting for all parts of the program.
- Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organizational performance standards.
- Actively participates in a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) philosophy.
- Recruit, hire and ensure training and orientation of all program staff.
- Develop an atmosphere of respect, interest and enthusiasm in the services provided.
- Recognize and encourage outstanding performance by persons within the program.
- Conducts regular staff meetings.
- Inform proper authority when attendance issues are present, or non-compliance is evidenced.
Program Operational Management :
- Must be available to provide service coordination and other duties as assigned when staff vacancies arise.
- Ensures that all individuals served within assigned areas receive face to face contact according to the frequency included on their person-directed plan.
- Appropriately make program assignments to Service Coordinators and ensure that services are initiated in a timely manner.
- Ensures that documentation standards are consistently met by all staff supervised.
- Ensure that all staff supervised meet required timeframes for data reporting and documentation.
- Ensures that all performance contract requirements are met.
- Maintains a proactive knowledge of requirements and guidelines set by the state and federal governments.
