Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and be ready to contribute to our fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation
- Manage electronic case files and documents, ensuring all materials are current and well-organized
- Facilitate the discovery process, including document collection, review, and production
- Create detailed deposition summaries and comprehensive trial binders
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and external agencies
- Monitor and manage case-related deadlines and calendars
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in commercial litigation support
- In-depth understanding of legal concepts, terminology, and processes specific to commercial litigation
- Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience :
- Familiarity with electronic discovery tools and case management software
- Experience with federal and state court filing systems
