Position Summary The Student Assistant for Fashion Management primarily works as a teaching assistant in Fashion Studio classes and assists faculty and staff with day-to-day tasks as needed by the department.
The Student Assitant reports to Professor in Media & Design. Essential Functions
- Assists faculty in Fashion Design Studio classes.
- Typing.
- Filing.
- Answering phones.
- Assists faculty, staff, and student.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference and the NCAA.
Required Education
- Current UIW fashion student approved
- Eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program
- Successfully completed the following course : FMGT 1310.
Required Work Experience None. Preferred Qualifications Previous office experience. Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None.
Work Hours M-F, between 8 : 00 am and 5 : 00 pm Physical Demands Ability to lift 10lbs or more
