Sr Data Engineer III - 3 days a week hybrid on site
3 Locations : San Jose, CA (1st Pref) Scottsdale, AZ Austin, TX
Work from client office 3 days a week
Duration : 6-12 months
Experience Level : Between 7 to 10 years
Interview : 2 rounds - 1st round verbal, 2nd round with tech team and tech based skill set evaluation. Interviews to be scheduled for next week
Preference given to candidates from large enterprise background eg Apple, Google, Ex PayPal, Meta (FAANG) companies etc
Top skills :
Able to work with large & complex data sets
Strong ETL / SQL skills to transfer and load data,
Good understanding of Big Data and perform root cause analysis,
Good knowledge of AWS and GCP cloud
Good knowledge of Python (basic scripting),
Knowledge of SAAS / PaaS / IaaS models
Responsibilities :
- This is not a Data Engineer role to work with the engineering team on iOS project
- Work with design and code teams
- Will be a part of the SDK team
Some experience in Fintech is a Big Plus
Relocation Candidate : Yes
- MS / BS degree in a computer science field or related discipline
- 8-10+ years’ experience in large-scale software development
- Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling and ETL development using Informatica, TD
Pig and Python Development experience in enterprise environment in AWS, EMR
Strong programming, shell scripting, Python, Spark, and SQL
experience with map reduce jobs to support distributed processing using ETL, TD, SnowFlake, Airflow, Hive and pig; Ability to design and implement end to end solution.
- Experience working with Hadoop and Big Data processing frameworks (Spark, Hive, Nifi, Spark-Streaming, Flink, etc.)
- Strong development skills around Informatica and SQL and Large Databases
- Experience with databases like Teradata a big plus
- Experience (at least familiarity) with data warehousing, dimensional modeling and ETL development
- Ability to understand and ERDs and relational database schemas
- Proven ability to work cross functional teams to deliver appropriate resolution
- Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
- Ability to perform in a team environment
Education / Experience :
- BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven work Data Engineer working with Enterprise Clients (Google, Facebook, Nvidia, Uber, Linkedin etc)
MUST HAVE SOFT skills : Communication, proactive, independent worker
