Summary :

We are looking to hire 2 Credit and Collections Specialist's. A Credit and Collections Specialist should have the ability to perform telephone collection of past due customer accounts and resolve credit and collection inquiries and complaints.

Essential Functions :

• Make regular, consistent collection calls to past due customers to obtain payment commitments.
• Follow up on commitments and promptly follow up on all that go delinquent.
• Alert supervisors / sales team to problem situations for possible suspension of further credit.
• Maintain neat, orderly document and collection contact files.
• Establish credit worthiness by gathering credit reports / information / applications
• Familiar with Bankruptcy, Collections, and Insufficient check procedures.
• Provides customers with their account information and resolves billing / payment disputes by researching account history and scanning documentation that clarifies issues.
• Consistently and promptly follows up with customers to bring quick closure to open issues.
• Conducts all customer contacts in the spirit of providing friendly, courteous, exceptional service.
• Research customer credit balances and process customer refunds as appropriate.
• Other duties as required during various financial and banking audits

Position Requirements :

• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in collections methodology, rules, regulations, and laws.
• Basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly with both internal & external customers.
• Solid personal assertiveness skills and ability to resolve issues effectively.
• Self-starter; able to take initiative and make decisions with minimal direction.
• Solid time management skills with ability to prioritize to successfully balance multiple tasks and requests.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
• Adaptability / flexibility / willing to change & adjust with business conditions.
• Team player, Multi-tasker.
• Works with a sense of urgency.
• Full Time / in office position at one of our branches

Education and / or Experience :

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Credit and Collections.
• Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for the above.
