We are looking for a skilled Used Car Reconditioning Technician to help us achieve that goal by performing top-notch maintenance and repairs on trade-ins and purchased vehicles for our pre-owned inventory.

Core Responsibilities :

• Inspect used cars to identify damages and maintenance needs
• Test, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Inform the Service Manager of any additional services or repairs needed, estimating the time needed to complete the work
• Perform work on the repair order per dealership standards

Desired Qualifications and Experience :

• At least 1 year of automotive service technician experience coupled with basic mechanical knowledge is required; ASE certifications preferred
• Must have your own tools and toolbox
• Superb attention to detail and thorough workmanship
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Punctual and takes initiative
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Hours and Work Environment

Hours are Monday Friday 8am to 5pm and every other Saturday 8am to 3pm, working in an open air shop with swamp coolers.

This role reports to the Service Manager.
