Core Responsibilities :
- Inspect used cars to identify damages and maintenance needs
- Test, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Inform the Service Manager of any additional services or repairs needed, estimating the time needed to complete the work
- Perform work on the repair order per dealership standards
Desired Qualifications and Experience :
- 2 years of experience performing vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs required; ASE certifications preferred
- Demonstrates thorough workmanship coupled with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication and general computer skills
- Must have your own tools and tool box
- A positive attitude and ability to work well with others are a must
- Self-starter, driven, and reliable
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job (frequent heavy lifting and standing, bending or kneeling for extended periods)
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Hours and Work Environment
Scheduled shifts are Monday Friday 8am to 5pm.
This is an onsite position at our dealership located in Tempe, where our technicians enjoy a state-of-the-art shop.
Technicians report to the Service Manager.
