Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Business Intelligence Engineer. This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our dynamic data team. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background in data querying, modeling, and visualization, and will be proficient in Databricks, Tableau, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

The BI Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining reporting data models, developing dashboards, and ensuring the semantic layer accurately represents business metrics.

Key areas of skills include :

Data Querying and Analysis

Data Modeling for reporting

Dashboard and Visualization Development

Qualifications :

4-year college bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.

3+ years in a BI Engineer or similar role.

Technical :

Proficiency in SQL and data querying.

Strong experience with Databricks for data modeling and processing.

Expertise in Tableau for dashboard and visualization development.

Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide insights and support decision-making.

Understanding of AWS cloud services, including data storage and processing tools.

Preferred :

Experience with other BI tools and platforms.

Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.

Certifications in Databricks, Tableau, or AWS.

Business Acumen :

Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.

Experience in building and managing metric or semantic layers.

Soft Skills :

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC : $60 / hour to $75 / hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and / or experience.
