Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer. This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity.

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to lead our BI initiatives and guide our data team toward achieving strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data querying, modeling, and visualization, with expertise in Databricks, Tableau, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

In addition to technical skills, the Senior BI Engineer will possess strong leadership capabilities to mentor team members and drive technical excellence. Key skills include

• Data Querying and Analysis
• Data Modeling for reporting
• Dashboard and Visualization Development
• Team and Stakeholder Management

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a BI Engineer role, with at least three (3) years in a senior or lead capacity.

Technical :

• Advanced Proficiency in SQL and data querying.
• Strong experience with Databricks for data modeling and processing.
• Extensive Expertise in Tableau for dashboard and visualization development.
• Strong analysis skills to interpret complex data sets provide insights and support decision-making.
• Strong Understanding of AWS cloud services, including data storage and processing tools.

Preferred :

• Experience with other BI tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Certifications in Databricks, Tableau, or AWS.

Business Acumen :

• Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience in building and managing metric or semantic layers.

Soft Skills :

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of BI engineers.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC : $65 / hour to $80 / hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and / or experience.
