On board the vessels, our survey crew work 12-hour shifts based on a schedule of five weeks on and five weeks off
Your role
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Surveyor to join our team. The ideal Senior Surveyor should possess crucial technical skills, as listed below, and non-technical skills, including an accurate and systematic working attitude, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a results-driven mindset.

A selection of your activities :
Installation and Checks :
Install the latest approved online navigation and data recording software, conducting thorough checks.
Perform survey sensor and system interfacing checks, assisting the Survey Engineer (Senior) during mobilization / demobilization.
Verification and Calibration :
Conduct vessel and ROV survey sensor verifications and calibrations, providing detailed tables and diagrams to superiors;
Update and verify all project-specific online survey parameters.
Standards and Procedures :
Provide high-quality online positioning and survey standards conforming to procedures;
Perform offshore calibrations, including LBL seabed arrays and ROV sensors / systems.
Communication and Reporting :
- Keep superiors informed of the ongoing status of survey preparations / operations at the survey desk;
- Compute tidal corrections and provide accurate height / depth data when required;
Assist and motivate lower-ranked survey crew members and provide guidance when required.
Deficiency Reporting :
- Notify Bridge and ROV control of any deficiencies or malfunctions in the positioning systems and / or online navigation and data recording systems;
- inform the Party Chief as appropriate;
Enable or disable DGNSS signals with approval from the vessel Master and / or superior.
Documentation :
Maintain the online survey logbook;
Produce detailed handover notes for the on-signing survey crew.
What we expect from you
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications :
Essential Qualifications :
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Computer literate;
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the function of a Senior Surveyor. (including 200 days in highly accurate surface / subsea positioning work and hydrographic surveying for (ROV) offshore construction works).
Educational Background :
BSc level in Hydrography, FIG / IHO / ICA CAT B or relevant industrial, military, or academic experience in a hydrographic survey-related discipline.
Technical Skills :
- Good understanding of (ROV) survey hardware, software, methodologies, and techniques, including but not limited to surface / subsea positioning accuracies and quality of survey sensor data;
- Expertise in accurate seabed and subsea infrastructure mapping;
Good understanding of offshore construction positioning and survey requirements, including but not limited to installation works and decommissioning.
