A company in the Non-Profit industry is looking for a Jr. Accountant to join their team! This position will be HYBRID in the office Downtown Los Angeles.
This role will involve managing the financial records and transactions of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Administer accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including monthly balance sheets and income statements.
- Administer invoice processing and maintain daily bookkeeping records, ensuring accuracy of each financial transaction.
- Support in completing the month-end / year-end close process to ensure financial records are up to date.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements, credit cards, and all balance sheet accounts to maintain accurate records.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and quarterly / annual audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Adhere to the organization's financial policies and procedures to maintain financial integrity.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget to support strategic planning and decision making.
- Use accounting software systems effectively to manage and process financial data.
- Perform accounting functions, including auditing, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR), using tools such as ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ADP - Financial Services.
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- GL experience
- Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account
- Previous experience in a non-profit sector would be advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good ethical conduct
- Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel.
