Job Description
The warehouse supervisor is responsible for providing general leadership across all warehouse operations. This position will help create and improve processes to ensure optimal performance utilizing metrics and data and become a subject matter expert in our ERP system to ensure that transactions are performed accurately and promptly.
This position will also play a crucial role in leading the safety and training functions for the Piqua Distribution Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and lead operational ITW Toolbox projects (Front to Back, 80 / 20, PLS) to achieve desired results and enhance efficiencies.
- Provide backup support for warehouse leadership roles as required ensuring seamless operations and sustained productivity during absences or peak times.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, addressing any issues or concerns.
- Assist in creating and managing work schedules.
- Monitor operational processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Work with carriers, vendors, OEM suppliers, and customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Support facilities related projects to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Work closely with Division Safety Manager to drive Hobart Genuine Parts Safety Team to ensure workplace safety standards are maintained.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leads and directs the warehouse teams.
- D365 SuperUser Point person for ERP in Warehouse Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with Transportation is preferred, but not required.
Certificates and Licenses
Certification in Six Sigma and ISO 9001 is preferred.
