Symmetrio is currently recruiting a Vice President of Sales based in the Midwest US territory for our customer, a leading multi-national medical device company.
This field-based role is responsible for the leadership, development, and success of the Western US sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of managing a collaborative team and closing high-profile clients in the medical device space.
The candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the medical device space and experience managing a team of 10+ people.
Experience in long sales cycle / strategy development is imperative. The ideal candidate will be located near a West Coast hub airport.
The position requires up to 50% travel.
This is a full-time position offering excellent health benefits, PTO, a 401(k) match, and an OTE of $350,000.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive sales strategies and initiatives
- Participate in strategic account planning
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to develop effective strategies
- Analyze and improve current processes
- Assess staff performance
- Deliver monthly / quarterly / yearly sales projections
- Use / Review of Salesforce CRM
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team
- Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
Requirements
- Experience in Medical Device industry
- Experience hiring and mentoring a team of sales hunters that will generate new business in the territory as well as expand business in current customer accounts.
- Responsibility for managing across several business lines
- The ability to accurately forecast quarterly and yearly sales goals
- Proficient use of Salesforce or other CRM platform
- Extensive IDN / Health network experience
- C-Suite experience within hospitals.
- While candidates with an MBA are preferred, we will consider individuals with a Bachelor's Degree if they have proven experience leading sales teams.
