VP OF CLINICAL SERVICES
Horizon Health, the national leader in providing contract management of psychiatric programs in general acute care hospitals throughout the United States, is seeking an experienced Vice President, Clinical Practice.
The Vice President, Clinical Services (VPC) provides focused, expert clinical expertise to programs and client hospitals based on clinical and quality of care needs / concerns.
The VPC collaborates on an ongoing basis with their assigned programs, the Senior / Vice President of Operations and the Senior Vice President, Clinical Practice.
This is a heavily traveled position every week. Your office is your home. Must be located near major airport.
Responsibilities :
- Lead development of clinical resources / materials for Horizon Contracted programs
- Coordinate and provide program / hospital staff education and training
- Coordinate and facilitate clinical components of new business start up activities
- Provide Program Director and Nurse Manager orientation and ongoing support
- Communicate and direct program leadership to clinical resource materials / tools for program development, training, regulatory standards and policies / procedures
- Annually and as needed, conduct program clinical audit and assessment to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Assess and identify specific program risk management and patient safety concerns to mitigate risk and promote patient safety
- Maintain expert knowledge of regulatory standards and communicates applicability to program sites
- Provide support and consultation for constant regulatory readiness
Travel :
Extensive travel (-%) travel is expected for this position
Qualifications
- RN with a master's degree required
- 5 years of clinical administrative experience in acute psychiatric setting
