ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

Job Description

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and managing financial operations in several regions throughout organization.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance, accounting, or related field.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and oversee all month end closing activities. Ensure all month end tasks are completed by the team in a timely manner and balances are reconciled to the Financial Statements
• Assist with preparation of internal and external month end reporting packages
• Significant involvement in several areas of the annual audit preparation
• Oversee the financial operations of several regional locations, including operations in Texas and California. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities
• Contribute through ideas and actions to the development of standardized processes and procedures across the organization
• Execution of corporate integration plan for future acquisitions
• Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and coaching to the team. Ability to manage and direct employees in several regions throughout the country

Requirements

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Experience working in an accounting department in a supervisory role for a minimum of 3 years, or a minimum of 5 years public accounting experience in audit or advisory services
• Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and experience in full financial statement preparation
• Proven experience overseeing all phases of the accounting cycle, especially Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and monthly P&L preparation
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, implementation and / or improvement projects experience a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high growth enviroment
