Tool and Die Maker Needed - $35.02 / hour + 6% Shift Differential* Be the Mastermind Behind Precision Manufacturing Join our team as a Tool and Die Maker and ensure smooth operations with your expertise in building, repairing, and operating complex tools and equipment.
Construct, repair, and maintain complex tools (dies, fixtures, etc.) Set-up and operate all department equipment (CNC, EDM, milling, grinding, etc.
Lead tooling projects and collaborate with engineering and production teams. Must have : Journeyman's license and / or 8+ years’ experience.
Shift Differential only available on second and third shift. These are represented positions with excellent benefits including dental, medical and a generous 401k.

Responsibilities Job duties place a strong emphasis on electro-mechanical assemblies, new die systems, and collaboration with designers and engineers on prototype projects Extensive communication, evaluation and decision making are required both in-house and outside the facility, which may at times include travel Assistance in the education and training of other Tool Room employees and input on future tooling and projects is often required Receiving, recording, inspecting, and advising changes in tooling, along with knowledge in the fields of electricity, hydraulics, heat treat, and fabrication is also required of this position Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Extensive knowledge of all Tool Room operations and utilizes skill and ability to perform complex layouts and complex machine tool set-ups for the purpose of adjusting, repairing, and constructing various tools,dies, fixtures, gages, etc.
Must be able to work to extremely close tolerances, perform design and development without blueprints Assemble various tooling projects and demonstrate knowledge of setup and operation of all Tool Room equipment Set-up and operation of all Tool Room equipment and precision measuring equipment Knowledge of math up to and including trigonometry Company Overview Navistar, Inc.
