As the Distribution Operation Manager at Yardbird, you'll oversee every aspect of our warehouse distribution strategy. You'll be responsible for managing the business processes and systems for distribution operations including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory and people management.
You'll work in close contact with the delivery team to organize the warehouse in the most efficient way to complete the daily tasks.
In this role, you'll directly oversee three warehouse Area Supervisors as well as the Inventory Manager.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily labor planning and management
- Planning and execution of product layout
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse to reflect cleanliness, efficiency and organization
- Partner with cross-functional partners to ensure smooth operations
- Evaluate employee and team performance, including consistent 1 on 1 meetings
- Facilitate weekly leadership meetings and provide daily communication to employees
- Analyze shipping and fulfillment data to help optimize business performance
Basic qualifications
- 4 years of warehouse or distribution experience
- 1 years of warehouse experience in a leadership role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current or previously held forklift certification
- Ability to lead and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to design facility space with maximum efficiency in mind
- Warehouse management system experience
