Rounds Cooks is a versatile and skilled culinary professional who can operate across different station areas in a restaurant or kitchen and are responsible for food preparation within Labelle’s specifications and guidelines.
Whether there’s a need in the grill station, the sauté station, or if the pastry chef is absent, the Rounds Cook is the cover-all, solution-driven culinary expert.
They are, in essence, the jack-of-all-trades in the bustling kitchen atmosphere, adept at ensuring a seamless flow of operations in culinary establishments.

- Must have competency in various cooking methods and techniques, and efficiently use their versatile skills to fill in wherever they are needed
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
- Prep pastry station, grill station and sauté station as needed.
- Adherence to all company dietary and allergy procedures.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safe handling procedures
- Assuring compliance with all sanitation, proper food handling skills and other safety guidelines.
- Utilize approved food production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
- Prepare food items consistently, efficiently and adhering to all recipe standards.
- Knowledge and adherence to proper food storage such as wrapping, dating, rotation procedures.
- Clean prep work areas and equipment.
- Follow prep lists created by Chefs
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Prepare simple dishes such as sides, salads, etc
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
- Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Maintain positive attitude at all times
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to walk / stand for long periods; an entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in a food / wine environment
- Ability to climb stairs
Schedule : Full time; day, night, weekend and holiday availability.
18.00-24.00 / hourly based on experience
