TrueBlue Clinical Research in Brandon is looking to add to the Patient Engagement Coordinator and Clinical Research team! This is a full-time, position working within the Recruitment team at our location on Kennedy Blvd.

The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, an outgoing personality and impeccable customer service abilities.

Qualifications :

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Prefer bilingual candidates, written and spoken (English / Spanish), who correspond with exceptional customer service

Ability to read and understand eligibility criteria from a clinical protocol and coordinate such activities required to schedule subjects appropriately

Ability to perform, or learn to perform, tasks associated with current computer functions (e.g. Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), Windows, Excel programs) and multi-line telephone systems for contacting and pre-screening patients

Ability to interact and communicate professionally with utmost courtesy with potential patients, their family members, sponsors, and peers

Essential Job Functions :

Answers multi-line telephone system, takes effective messages, transfers calls, and schedules patients for appointments.

Recruiters are required to wear headsets for telephone communication

  • Pre-screening of potential patients according to study specific telephone screening scripts. Effectively asks and answers questions to determine Screening appointment eligibility
  • Collects subject information from emails, text messages, and referral logs; contacts and schedules subjects according to the study protocol requirements
  • Effectively collects and enters patient demographic and medical history information into the CTMS; updates referral data and subject referral logs as required.

Uses the CTMS to its fullest capability by documenting electronically and refraining from paper / pen

Reviews enrolling studies' Recruitment Rosters in the CTMS; communicates timely and promptly in attempting to schedule potential patients;

updates the CTMS data promptly and effectively; documents all contact attempts according to current process and procedure

  • Maintains accurate e-Fax system by viewing email in-box, reviewing faxes, forwarding faxes to the appropriate person, and deleting unnecessary faxes
  • Assists the Recruitment Supervisor and Business Office Manager in social media functions : posting study related information, tracking and answering messages from potential patients, and providing ideas for social media postings
  • Answers patient questions regarding protocol qualification, stipend and referral payments, office directions for appointments, and general information related to our company
  • Sends text message reminders to patients using internet-based text messaging system
  • Ensures the prospective subject has good knowledge of the study and associated requirements to complete the study according to the protocol time-line
  • Collects and enters accurate subject demographic information into the CTMS; updates referral and advertisement logs
  • Maintains subject data base with accurate demographic information, merging patients as necessary and editing information to ensure correctness
  • Follows up on No-Show appointments, ensures patients are contacted to reschedule missed appointments; documents contact attempts and sends our certified letters as appropriate;

notifies Site Manager and Research Coordinators when certified letters are sent out

  • Data mines and investigates potential patients from prior studies in the CTMS; reaches out to prior patients in communicating current studies
  • Participates in community outreach, marketing and recruitment events and strategies in building interest and increasing the potential subject pool / database
  • Maintains a professional manner and demonstrates customer service excellence in all interactions with patients, peers, and sponsors
  • Maintains clean, professional work environment as needed by following established office opening and closing up duties and by controlling supply costs by maintaining accurate levels of supplies and not wasting supplies unnecessarily
  • Participates in company sponsored community events for the purposes of company promotion, name recognition, and study recruitment
  • Supports and conducts behaviors commensurate to MCR Employee Standards

Working Conditions and Physical Demands :

  • Professional medical office; inside, busy environment with many potential interruptions and distractions
  • Multiple tasks must be performed simultaneously and within deadline
  • Potential for exposure to hazardous materials (e.g. cleaning agents and solutions)
  • Required to sit and / or stand for extended periods of time, use of hands and fingers in fine manipulation of office and medical equipment, use of telephone, talk, listen
  • Reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting up to 15-20 pounds
  • Travel must be performed between offices and / or business locations
  • Continuing education and job-related training is required annually
  • Local and out-of-state travel is required

We are anticipating this position to start with 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. The office location is 4257 W. Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, Fl.

Full Time - Pay starting at $17 per hour
