Aggressive base salaries and earning potential for exceptional Community Education Representatives with previous Hospice or Home Health Sales experience.

Territories includes Galleria / Uptown and Sugar Land

Generate clinically appropriate patient referrals / admissions from referral sources and continue to increase the number of referrals / admissions over time.

Develop new customer accounts and gain referrals / admissions within the designated territory. Establish and maintain professional relationships with all referral sources, including physicians, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospital personnel, including but not limited to case managers, discharge planners, and other appropriate referral sources as assigned.

Meet or exceed all growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market awareness, acceptance, and allegiance throughout the local service area.

Represent Bayou City Hospice and its services in a competent, ethical, professional, legal and responsive manner. Interact with Bayou City Hospice patient care management and staff in a team-oriented fashion consistent with the organization's culture and policies.

Maintain standards of high-quality customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company's budget. Travel as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree and related healthcare experience and knowledge preferred
  • Minimum of three to five years of professional sales experience preferred. Additional related experience in the health care industry also preferred
  • Demonstrated history of positive sales results, preferably involving sophisticated and meaningful customer relationships that led to outstanding results
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
  • Ability to market effectively with customers, referral sources and the community
  • Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices
  • Valid driver's license with maintenance of good driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and / or Bayou City Hospice requirements and is in good working order
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Satisfactory references from employers and / or professional peers
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little daily supervision
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations

RESPONSIBILITIES : First 90 Days

First 90 Days

1. Meet with team members and learn what their roles within Bayou City Hospice

2. Become familiar with the Medicare Hospice Benefit

3. Know how Bayou City Hospice differentiates itself

4. Successfully complete the CER field orientation as determined by the supervisor

5. Participate in field rides with key staff members

6. Roleplay several types of sales call to the satisfaction of the supervisor

7. Begin territory analysis and build territory profile using CRM application

8. Develop and maintain a list of possible objections and potential professional responses

9. Generate appropriate referrals to Bayou City Hospice from current and new customers within territory

10. Meet or exceed growth and development targets

11. Continue to learn about customers' business operations, industry trends, challenges, and day-to-day objectives

12. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the hospice industry

13. Implement marketing initiatives as directed by supervisor

14. Conduct educational in-services for customers

15. Maintain an organized and appropriately stocked sales kit in vehicle during each workday

16. Participate in meetings as directed by supervisor

17. Always maintain professional dress and decorum

18. Comply with local, state and federal laws, Medicare regulations and established employee policies and procedures
