Why does the job exist?
The FMD Capital Projects Administrator performs complex administrative functions related to supporting Construction Project Manager's by conducting extensive management analysis on contract documents to ensure performance measures contained within the contract / construction documents are being met by architectural, engineering, and construction contractors.
The position plans, develops and provides oversight of project management schedules, deliverables, Gantt and PERT charts, pay applications, project management change orders (CO's), request for information (RFl's), and project close-out procedures to assist and support the FMD Capital Project Managers.
The position also consults with state agencies on a routine basis during the life of an agency's approved capital project(s) in order to provide construction management administrative support and analysis to all agencies served by FMD.
How does it get done?
The FMD Capital Projects Administrator will :
- Maintain and routinely provide reporting metrics to FMD Capital Project Managers on performance measures related to the technical and professional services contained within the contract / construction documents.
- Plan, develop, and provide oversight of project management schedules, deliverables, pm charts, pay applications, project management change orders (CO's), request for information (RFl's), project close-out procedures, and execute construction.
- Consult with state agencies on a routine basis during the life of an agency's approved capital project(s) in order to provide construction management administrative support and analysis to all agencies served by FMD.
- Develop and generate construction progress reports, construction administration reports, project schedules and timelines and project analysis.
- Participate in the Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) process, whereby impact analysis of planned projects is employed and conducted statewide in coordination with FMD and the state agencies approved for capital funding.

Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in construction project management, preferably in the administration of contract documents.
- Plan and develop project management schedules, deliverables, pm charts, pay applications, project management change orders (CO's), request for information (RFl's), and project close-out procedures.
- Analyze construction documents and develop contract metrics to ensure performance measures contained within the contract / construction documents are being met by architectural, engineering, and construction contractors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, and other state agencies on capital construction projects statewide.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a current and valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
