My client, a fast-growing and dynamic hospitality industry organization, is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller. Salary goes up to $100,000.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. This role mainly remote with weekly meetings in Murfreesboro and the Gulch.

Overview of the Assistant Financial Controller :
- The Assistant Financial Controller will manager all aspects of customer billing.
- Work with the operations team in terms of managing the company’s ERP production systems (data from this system is used to generate sales invoices in QuickBooks).
- Manage and help team calculate both customer and internal inventories for manufacturing and liquor / wine for event business.
- Manage the payroll process for employees including summarizing time data, preparing payroll batches, reconciling event tips, preparing pay checks / direct deposit, etc.
- Manage company banking transactions and overall day-to-day booking of transactions in QuickBooks.
- Manage cash deposits, event reconciliations and settlement with bands / vendors, book internal event / tap room activity from point-of-sale system
- Assist with managing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statement close process.
- Work with the CFO to manage outside relationships and communications with banks, vendors, customers, lawyers, outside accountants, etc.
- Work with the CFO to file and pay all company tax returns (sales tax, liquor tax, TTB excise taxes, franchise excise tax, year-end tax reporting and K1s., etc.)
- Track and report key production / financial indicators (KPI).
- Manage cash, develop and report cash forecasts, and develop future state financial modeling.
- Assist with managing all business licensing (federal, state, local)
- Work with the CFO on all other business administration initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications of the Assistant Financial Controller :
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
