The Email Marketing Specialist will be our email marketing champion for our fun-loving, energetic, work hard, play hard Digital Marketing team.

Email and SMS continue to be critical channels for our success, and we are looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to support our Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) program.

You will drive the day-to-day activities to keep the Brooks email marketing and SMS journeys running successfully. Reporting directly to the Associate Manager of CRM, you’ll work hand in hand to grow customer lifetime value and drive engagement across a runner’s digital journey.

You will also deploy communications to key audiences in the CRM program to support various marketing objectives. You will also support our Canada email program, our Brooks Restart site, as well as other sports marketing and retail goals.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Brooks Running North America automated email and SMS campaigns
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of key Brooks email programs : Canada, Sports Medicine Ambassadors, and Brooks Restart
  • Write creative briefs and build email campaigns within our Email Service Provider
  • Execute retention strategies to engage email and SMS users with our loyalty program the Brooks Run Club
  • Develop and deploy localized emails and texts that connect Brooks email users to in-person shopping experiences and events, meeting runners wherever they choose to run and wherever they choose to shop
  • Execute strategies to engage email and SMS users with our athletes, leveraging their performance and expertise to drive engagement with the Brooks brand
  • Oversee the Canada email translation process
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling content and messaging for campaigns
  • Oversee QA process for emails / SMS in key browsers across devices
  • Implement and optimize A / B testing strategies to drive campaign performance
  • Work closely with CRM Associate Manager, digital marketing, and site teams to ensure alignment of lifecycle marketing campaigns with retention objectives
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics for automated email and SMS campaigns
  • Prepare regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and optimize future campaigns

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing or business preferred
  • 1 year of related experience in email marketing and SMS marketing for a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC brand)
  • Experience with email service providers required, Sailthru preferred
  • Experience in SMS marketing platforms required, Attentive preferred
  • Familiarity with email personalization tools like LiveClicker
  • Proficient in editing email HTML and using email visual builders required
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices preferred
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices preferred
  • Skilled at providing creative art direction to designers
  • Experience in developing segmentation, automation, and lead gen strategies and executing at the tactical level
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another
  • Self-starter, responsible, and able to own production-level projects
  • Leads with a growth mindset and demonstrates grit and initiative
  • Strong customer focus / ability to anticipate and react to user needs
  • Ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.

Compensation : The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $59,913 - $89,291 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Paid Time Off- Brooks offers generous time off including three to five weeks of paid time off, eleven paid holidays, paid sick and parental leave.

You will spend 3 per week in our Seattle offices, as we believe our organization flourishes when connections, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and celebrations happen in person.
