Staff Financial Analyst

About the role

The Operational Excellence Specialist role is responsible for conducting financial analysis and data-mining to develop KPIs to measure financial and operational performance to assist business planning and improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

This job plays a critical role in providing insight analysis to multiple departments / functions, such as procurement, logistics, warehouse, production, engineering, customer operation and finance.

In addition, this individual will assist perform internal controls, and drives improvement in the key processes.

What you'll do

• Review delayed shipment and inventory variance. Investigate the root cause for inventory discrepancies.
• Reconcile FG and parts serial number.
• Run standard aging inventory report and aging ticket reports, work with team to minimize the aging. Closely monitor and investigate movement of aged inventory.
• Collect, organize and analyse inventory data from various sources to create a weekly report for powerful and meaningful business and operational analysis, such as inventory turnover ratio.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for periodic physical cycle count, investigate discrepancies and communicate results with management.
• Responsible for the monitoring of in-transit and consignment inventory.
• Maintain, improve, and develop operational procedures and policies.
• Work on special projects as needed, such as adhoc internal audit.
• Identify and take actions to address excess inventory.

What you bring :

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or operational management, advanced degree preferred
• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Operations or Supply Chain operations.
• Have finance operational mind and data analytical skills.
• Advanced PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Independent problem solver with the ability to decode large quantities of complex data into easy-to-understand findings, observations, and actional items.
• Detail-oriented and committed to deadlines.
• Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills
• Familiar with financial and accounting principles, such as inventory aging, turnover ratio, revenue recognition, etc.
• Ability to identify opportunities for performance& procedure improvement across the organization is preferred.
• CPA / CFA is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred.
