Operations Quality Manager

External Description

• Audubon, an EPC company in Houston, has an immediate need for an Operations Quality Manager. In this role you will be responsible will be responsible for aligning all process, procedures, testing protocols, document and control procedures;
• supporting the quality control program and specifically addressing and resolving issues compromising operating standards within all internal and external resources of the Company;

monitoring activities of fabricators for compliance, non-conformance and possible schedule delays; and coordinating closely with the Production Manager and Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Update of the Quality Management System Manual
• Integrate company quality management system with the company energy solutions QMS and QMS Manual
• Develop and maintain quality metrics dashboard (KPI’s)
• Maintain QMS Manual and all QMS documents, processes and procedures
• Manage quality manual and document control process
• Support the development of a manufacturing process plan, including the determination of personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs
• Support activities and collaborate with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to ensure adherence to required quality standards and specifications
• Review and interpret plans, specifications and other documents to assist with identification of any flaws with project design, schedule and / or budget
• Review production and operating reports on a regular basis in order to identify problem areas and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
• Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs) procedures, documents, criteria, protocols, and data collection process
• Support corporate quality system compliance, certification initiatives and audit processes
• Work closely with the Production Manager and Engineering to develop, implement and execute project / program / product test plans
• Drive quality initiatives to advance our implementation of continuous improvement principles and establish these efforts as part of our culture
• Lead root cause investigations to drive corrective and preventative actions
• Work with the production team to ensure thorough and timely dispositions of non-conforming material to maintain continuity of production and containment of problems before they reach the customer
• Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of company products and related manufacturing objectives and constraints
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;

establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Qualifications :

• 10+ years of related quality work experience with manufacturing; preferably modular high-tech engineering, procurement and fabrication
• Experience with the development and implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) for an engineering, procurement and fabrication organization
• Experience with Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for engineering fabricated equipment
• Working Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Systems implementation & compliance
• Experience performing Nonconformance and Corrective Action Root Cause analysis
• Experience with lean Manufacturing
• Six Sigma green belt / black belt preferred
• Proven track record of helping to drive manufacturing quality improvement projects
• Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex methodologies to diverse audiences and stakeholders
• Uncompromising dedication to product quality
• Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
• Ability to work in structured and unstructured systems environments
• Must be driven and self-motivated
