Responsibilities

  • Place orders for raw / sub materials and manage shipping, storage, and expected times of arrival
  • Compare costs and negotiate prices with vendors and other charges
  • Confer and communicate with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications
  • Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for the shipping and delivery of materials
  • Determine shipping methods for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, international documents, and shipping orders to make routes for materials
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes
  • Perform requisition for stocks, materials, supplies, or equipment and manage inventories and supplies
  • Manage outsourced warehouses (NOTS), including inventory management and scheduled deliveries
  • Participate in monthly closing activities, including physical inventory checks, data entry, administrative tasks, making analytic reports reflecting on manufacturing costs, checking inventory amounts, and managing sales records

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Effectively communicate both written and verbal language skills in Korean and English
  • Must be able to negotiate, report, and purchase from US and foreign vendors
  • Basic computer and MS Office skills
  • Basic knowledge of economics and accounting
  • Complex problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Good judgment and decision-making
  • Management of financial resources
  • Time management
