Job Summary
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including supervising the recruiting and selection of staff, administering annual pay increases, and supporting school administrators with employment related policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees and supervises the daily workflow of the department in both certified and support operations.
- Works as the liaison to coordinate the work between the HR and Finance departments.
- Monitors and manages the HRIS (Frontline Central) and Financial (Skyward) systems necessary to do the daily work and acts as the lead contact for all technical issues.
- Implements annual pay increases for all staff by updating employee spreadsheets and position controls.
- Supports HR specialists and associates when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions regarding certified contracts, wage letters and pay arise.
- Supervise the front desk employees, meeting with them regularly to support the daily work.
- Manages and responds to all unemployment claims.
- Assures mandatory employment posters are displayed appropriately.
- Monitors and validates MACHS subscriptions.
- Creates yearly support staff work calendars.
- Manages time reporting and clock approvals for HR and front desk employees.
- Creates, maintains, and updates comprehensive job descriptions to accurately reflect the position in the district.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, school, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and Financial software.
- Knowledge of school law and Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regulations is preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- pHCLE, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require some lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and / or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally, the job requires 80% sitting,
10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
