Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Associate for a direct hire position at a premier client in Vancouver, WA.

Pay : $73,000 - $75,000 per year, 10% annual bonus potential, and stock options

Overview

This client is an industry-leading biotech company focused on developing innovative therapies for rare genetic disorders.

In this role you’ll be supporting the Molecular Lab with a team of world-class scientists and researchers. This role will give you an opportunity to work on PCR / qPCR troubleshooting and optimization in a high-throughput (HTP) setting, while helping deliver new therapies to patients and their families.

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM flexible

Responsibilities :

Support the Molecular Lab with PCR / qPCR troubleshooting and optimization in a high-throughput (HTP) setting.

Analyze quality metrics and results of testing to determine if troubleshooting has fixed the problem.

Utilize Illumina and other NGS sequencing technologies.

Design primers for various molecular biology applications.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all research activities.

Qualifications :

BS / BA in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.

Experience with PCR / qPCR troubleshooting and optimization in a high-throughput (HTP) setting.

Knowledge of quality metrics and ability to interpret results of testing.

Experience with Illumina or other NGS sequencing technologies preferred.

Primer design experience is a plus.

Must be comfortable with dogs in the office.
