Job Description
The Logistics Accounts Manager I is responsible for coordinating and managing over-the-road logistics
services for clients. They work closely with clients to build long-term relationships and liaise between the
client and the carrier. Their responsibilities include negotiating with carriers to obtain better shipping
rates, understanding market trends, and serving as the primary point of contact for the accounts they
service. LAM I are considered cradle to grave brokers, as they maintain an equal focus on sales and
operations. The first 6 9 months will be sales intensive. LAM I are expected to understand the ideal
customer profile, create and maintain a leads list, and make 100+ cold calls a day. Through this outreach
they will build their book of business from the ground up. LAM I will serve as a one-stop-shop for their
clients they will find the client, quote their shipments, procure and dispatch a carrier, and track the load
from pick-up to delivery. Once delivered they may be asked to assist with billing or administrative
questions. LAM I are paid a base salary, and are eligible for commission based compensation.

facilitate the transportation of a shipper’s goods from one location to another. We have a
hybrid operational structure that encompasses team systems as well as cradle-to-grave
systems. Team structures are composed of (usually) two account managers, a dispatch
representative, and a carrier sales representative. Cradle-to-grave operations are a kill what

sales outreach, customer onboarding, capacity sourcing, carrier vetting, carrier negotiation,
