Job Description

  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials and concentrates, ensuring effective management and monitoring of purchasing practices.
  • Take charge of managing the performance of a diverse supplier base consisting of over 75 suppliers.
  • Act as a driving force for continuous improvement initiatives, promoting methodologies and techniques within the relevant category, the company, and among suppliers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy that includes supplier selection, pricing analysis, and supplier performance evaluation.

Establish a structured end-to-end strategic sourcing process aimed at enhancing total cost, quality, and service through continuous improvement efforts.

  • Create and distribute Requests for Information (RFIs), Quotes (RFQs), and Proposals (RFPs).
  • Evaluate and summarize vendor proposals to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate item pricing in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other systems.
  • Manage supplier documentation, including contracts, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and pricing agreements.
  • Conduct initial reviews of all indirect contracts.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new vendors within the raw materials category.
  • Conduct vendor audits to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the VP of Procurement.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable and stakeholders to reconcile vendor invoices.

The Successful Applicant

  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing annual raw material expenditures surpassing $100 million.
  • Familiarity with raw material markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management proficiency's.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  • Capable of thriving both in team settings and independently.
