Logistic Specialist Job Summary
As a Logistics Specialist at ASM, you will plan and manage logistics, transportation, and customer services for a variety of customers.
You will manage all aspects of the order from creation to completion. Being in such a crucial role in a small company offers a unique experience to see the many stages an order goes through.
You can be the point of contact for a customer from start to finish and offer excellent customer service because you will know every detail of their order.

We have a need for a non-exempt (hourly) 1st shift Logistics Specialist working 7 : 00am- 4 : 00am (Monday- Friday) which would report to the Logistics Manager within our operations department.
This role is hybrid and will be required to be in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Logistic Specialist Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for facilitating an efficient transportation process by maximizing deliveries and simplifying the shipping process.
- Interacts with carriers and providers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
- Handle various types of software to coordinate trucks and available loads.
- Adheres to strict deadlines and instructions to meet customer needs.
- Update load boards and clear broker carriers.
- Assist Truck drivers / dispatchers with problem resolution.
- Creating, scheduling, and monitoring all shipments load pick-up and delivery appointments.
- Negotiating rates with carriers.
Logistic Specialist Required Experience and Education
- Minimum of 2 years doing freight dispatch, Refrigerated Trailer Dispatching, LTL, Power-Only moves, and / or the Transportation Industry is preferred.
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Managing / utilizing multiple systems including dispatch software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
