Job Overview :
Under the direction of EVS supervisor, cleans and maintains floors, carpets and hard surfaces within the healthcare environment.
Assures the quality of housekeeping service / floor care that provides a sparkling clean, hygienic and safe environment that is patient and family centered.
General Responsibilities :
- Maintains housekeeping procedures throughout the facility which will insure a high level of cleanliness and quality.
- Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory compliance for housekeeping procedures.
- Assists with the training of new staff.
- Can perform all tasks of the aide, floor tech and fills in all positions, as needed.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or Equivalent preferred.
- One-year prior housekeeping experience required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Prior floor tech experience preferred to include experience in all phases of floor and carpet care preferred.
- Able to multitask with safety practices.
- Must be able to communicate with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Must be able to follow written as well as verbal instructions.
