Position Summary : As part of an international project execution functional team, this role will contribute to oversee, optimize, and provide strategic guidance for the execution of Arcadium Lithium Capital Projects above $20 Million.

This position reports to the PMO - Construction Director and would be based in a Houston, TX. Preference will be given to candidates located in (or willing to relocate to) in an Americas time zone.

Travel : 15-30% travel required, including to Asia-Pacific and South America, with stays typically ranging between 1-2 weeks per trip.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Assist the CPO Construction Director in providing strategic direction for construction projects ensuring that construction practices and methodologies are in line with industry best practice and evolving trends.
  • Assist in the development of construction standards, policies and procedures in accordance with laws, regulations, and codes, as well as Arcadium Lithium's policies, practices, procedures and objectives.
  • Actively participate in risk management by identifying and developing mitigation actions for risks associated with project execution.
  • Support the implementation of internal and external peer and assurance reviews of execution scope.
  • Collaborate with a globally diverse and multicultural projects team, embracing the company's global presence.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the CPO office to provide projects subject expertise and guidance.
  • Availability and willingness to work outside normal country of residence business hours when needed.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree, or master's degree (preferred) in engineering, construction management, project management or related fields
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, and experience working within a team.
  • Background in project and construction sites and industrial plants.
  • Experience with engineering software and tools.
  • Must have an advance level in English and Spanish. Any other language skill is considered an asset

  • High level of autonomy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in all facets of Construction required in capital projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for effective leadership of multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and alignment of project objectives between various stakeholder groups.
  • Enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, creative problem-solving skills and drive for continuous improvement.
